Jam Bounty

Puzzaholics picks one game from an existing game jam to win a Bounty. Each eligible game posted on X/Twitter adds $1 to the Bounty, up to $1,000.

Jam Bounty Official Rules

Jam Bounties will be announced on X/Twitter prior to the game jam start date. For game jam information, see the jam’s official page.

To suggest a jam for a future Jam Bounty, mention @puzzaholics on X/Twitter with a link to the jam.

The Bounty

  • The Bounty starts at $0.
  • $1 is added for each eligible game with at least one eligible post (see below).
  • The Bounty cap is $1,000. Games posted after the cap has been reached are still eligible, but do not raise the Bounty.
  • When the posting window closes, the final game count and Bounty amount will be posted.

How to Enter

  • Post on X/Twitter from a public account. Replies and reposts don’t count.
  • Posts must come from the game’s developer or a member of its team.
  • Each X account can only submit one game. Multiple posts do not increase entries.
  • Mention @puzzaholics, use #JamBounty, and link to the game’s jam page.
  • Post during the posting window (from the jam’s start to 48 hours after its official submission period ends, including any extension) and keep the post up until the winner is announced.

Eligibility

  • Real, playable entries submitted during the jam’s official submission period.
  • Not removed or disqualified by the jam.
  • Games must be free to play.
  • Copies, re-uploads, and near-duplicates of a game will not be counted.
  • Posts or games that are fake, copied, spammy, hateful, illegal, or stolen, and accounts made to game the count, may be disqualified. Offending accounts may be barred from future Jam Bounties.

Winner and Payment

  • For each jam, Puzzaholics picks its favorite game from those with an eligible post. The winner may differ from the jam’s official results.
  • The winning game will be announced on X/Twitter shortly after the posting window closes.
  • Payment is sent via itch.io or X Money. Other options may be available with game ownership verification through itch.io.
  • Before sending payment, Puzzaholics may ask for proof that you developed the game or are authorized to accept the Bounty for its team.
  • The winner is mentioned in the winning post and has 7 days from that post to DM @puzzaholics about payment. If they can’t be reached or can’t accept payment, another winner may be chosen.
  • For team games, only one team member may accept the Bounty. Splitting payments is up to them.
  • Winners under 18 may need a parent or guardian to accept the Bounty.

FAQ

Is this a game jam?

No. Jam Bounties are bonus rewards offered separately from a game jam’s own rewards.

Can I submit multiple games?

Yes. Each game must be posted from a different X/Twitter account. Each account must be able to verify ownership of the game on itch.io.
