ATB Atlas

Last updated: May 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ATB Atlas ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. The short version: ATB Atlas does not collect your personal data. There are no accounts to create, and we have no servers that receive, store, or process information about you. Everything the app needs to work stays on your device or in your own private iCloud account.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. ATB Atlas has no login, no user accounts, and no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking technologies. We do not build profiles, and we do not sell or share data, because we never receive it in the first place.

2. Device Permissions

To provide certain features, ATB Atlas may ask for access to capabilities on your device. Each permission is optional, is used only for the feature it powers, and the information it produces is processed entirely on your device — it is never transmitted to us or to any third party.

  • Location: Used to show your position on the map, center the map near you, and sort or filter locations by distance. Your location is used live on the device and is not recorded or sent anywhere.
  • Camera: Used only when you choose to take a photo of your pass. Photos you capture are stored on your device and are not uploaded to us.
  • Photos: Used only when you choose to add an existing image (such as a photo of your pass) from your photo library. We access only the items you select, and we do not scan or upload your library.
  • Notifications: If enabled, used to remind you about events you set up in the app, such as a pass expiration date. These reminders are scheduled locally on your device.

You can review or change any of these permissions at any time in your device's Settings. Declining a permission only disables the related feature; the rest of the app continues to work.

3. Data Storage and iCloud

Anything you create in the app — such as saved or visited locations, notes, pass details, and pass photos — is stored locally on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud and have iCloud enabled for the app, this data is also backed up to and synced through your own private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service.

This iCloud data lives in your personal Apple account. We cannot see, access, or retrieve it, and it is handled under Apple's infrastructure and privacy terms. You can manage or delete this data through your device's iCloud settings, and deleting the app removes the data stored locally on that device.

4. Purchases

ATB Atlas offers optional upgrades (ATB Atlas Pro). All purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. We do not see or store your payment information. Apple processes the transaction and manages your purchase and subscription status under Apple's own privacy policy.

5. Apple System Services

The app relies on standard Apple services to function, such as Maps for displaying the map, iCloud for optional backup, and the App Store for purchases. Your use of these built-in services is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We do not receive personal data through them.

6. Children's Privacy

ATB Atlas does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. We do not knowingly gather data from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

7. Data Security

Because your data stays on your device and within your own iCloud account, it is protected by your device's security and by Apple's iCloud protections. We do not maintain a copy of your data on any server we control.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.

9. Contact

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please reach out through the contact page.
